SIDS is defined by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development as sudden death of an infant < 1 year of age, which remains unexplained after a thorough case investigation. Though the exact cause of SIDS is unknown, there are steps you can take to help prevent it. Nurse Sue's quiz this month takes a closer look at SIDS, its terrible toll on families, and what you can do to protect your child.
